To most people in Maine, Larry Bliss is still an unfamiliar face. The current Co-Chairman of the Maine Legislature's Judiciary Committee was virtually unknown before he became the driving force behind the same sex marriage bill which was signed into law this past May.
Early on, Bliss displayed an inclination towards political activism, earning degrees in Political Science and Urban Administration from the nation's most notorious hotbed of left-wing radicalism, the University of California at Berkeley. Before moving to Maine, Bliss was in charge of counseling at San Francisco State University. Bliss was also on the board of a number of organizations dealing with homosexuality, including The AIDS Project, and the Maine Lesbian/Gay Political Alliance.
In a speech in the Maine Senate prior to the vote on same sex marriage, Bliss revealed that he and his current male "partner" Nolan McCoy returned to California recently to be 'married' in a ceremony at the Ventura Country Courthouse. Bliss is unashamed of his California connections, as revealed in a video posted on the website of the South Portland Democrats. Meddling by homosexual activists from California is not limited to Larry Bliss, however. The RECORD recently revealed that members of a San Francisco Bay Area group are coming to Maine on so-called "Volunteer Vacations" to influence the vote on same sex marriage.
A leading homosexual rights blogger has posted elaborate and detailed instructions how homosexual activists from across the country can come to Maine on "Volunteer Vacations." Similar recruiting efforts are underway at the website "Democratic Underground."
Most curious however, is the incident involving former California native Bruce LaValle Davidson. LaValle Davidson testified in favor of same sex marriage at the public hearing in Augusta in April. Four days earlier, LaValle Davidson allegedly shot and killed another California native, Fred Wilson, at his home in South Portland. The killing followed a night of drug and alcohol-fueled debauchery, with a tie-in to the homosexual sadomasochistic subculture. Wilson had donated to a museum of sadomasochism in Chicago, as revealed by The RECORD.
Wilson's home is less than one-half mile from the home of State Senator Larry Bliss; and it is not known if anyone on the Judiciary Committee knew of the crime at the time LaVallee Davidson testified. Augusta police certainly knew about the crime on the day of the hearing.
LaVallee Davidson is shown in the photo below, at the hearing hugging his partner 'Buck.' During the hearing, LaVallee Davidson tearfully pleaded that "he and Buck were already married in the eyes of God."
Bliss has filmed several campaign videos on Willard Beach, which is less than a minute's walk from Wilson's home in South Portland.
