Trial Date Set for Gay Rights Killing

The RECORD has learned that a firm date has been set for the trial of Bruce LaVallee Davidson, the same sex marriage advocate indicted for manslaughter in the death of South Portland resident Fred Wilson.

The trial will start on November 30, before Judge Crowley in Cumberland County Superior Court in Portland.  The late date for the trial makes certain that the adverse publicity surrounding the bizarre death of Fred Wilson will not affect the vote on same sex marriage on November 3rd.

Court papers show that the trial could have been scheduled for a date well in advance of the vote on November 3rd. The reason why the late date was chosen is not known.

Though the crime has been totally ignored by the gay rights movement, many members of the public are perplexed by the case. Some have questioned why it took almost a month for the details of the case to come out, when in other similar cases, the details were released almost immediately.

One anonymous online poster claimed to be Wilson's best friend for fourteen years, and said that Wilson would never have engaged in a game of "Russian Roulette" as claimed by LaVallee Davidson.

Bruce LaVallee Davidson and his partner 'Buck' testified before the public hearing on same sex marriage in Augusta on April 22nd. Four days earlier LaVallee Davidson allegedly shot and killed Fred Wilson. During the public hearing, LaVallee Davidson claimed that he and his partner Buck, shown in the photo above, were 'already married in the eyes of God.'

After the public hearing, LaVallee Davidson went on vacation to California. After returning to Maine, he surrendered to police on May 12th, four days after his indictment by a grand jury.

One fact not reported in the mainstream press is that LaVallee Davidson was originally charged with murder. The charge may have been dropped because of the difficulty of proving murder, which requires proving premeditation and intent. Some have wondered if the charge was reduced to manslaughter because of undue pressure related to the upcoming vote on same sex marriage.

Portland is of course a very liberal part of the state, and two openly homosexual legislators, Senator Larry Bliss and Representative Terry Morrison represent South Portland in the Maine Legislature. The public still doesn't know when and how  Bliss learned of the killing, though it is reasonable to assume he was among the first to know, since he lived one-half mile from the victim's house.

The RECORD has been able to provide information that the mainstream press has not published, namely that the victim had ties to a Chicago museum of sadomasochism. The fact that LaVallee Davidson had consumed drugs and alcohol and altered the crime scene led The RECORD to conclude that the killing followed a night of alcohol and drug-crazed debauchery.

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth has described the Chicago museum as horrifying. LaBarbera writes:

"Pro-homosexuality activism is largely a big-city phenomenon. The City of Chicago has the ... distinction of being a favorite city of sadomasochists, people who would have once been known, in saner times, as what they are,  perverts... the Leather Archives Museum — a “museum” for sexual sadists,  (is) located in Chicago. I visited this “museum” last year and was stunned by its audacious chronicling of the most repulsive perversions. The sheer horror and weirdness of the place makes it difficult to describe to a normal audience."

One plausible scenario is that the sadomasochistic activity on the night of the killing became more and more depraved until LaValle Davidson inflicted the greatest possible harm on his victim, that is, death.  If the details of the crime come out at trial, the public will see a part of the homosexual lifestyle that is very different from the positive image the gay rights movement is trying to project.

But then again, there is a chance that the details of the crime will never come out. The RECORD has learned that the attorney  for LaVallee Davidson has filed a motion to throw out all physical evidence seized by the police, including the pistol, and all statements LaVallee Davidson made about the crime. LaVallee Davidson's attorney claims that his client's constitutional rights were violated by an illegal search and an improper identification.

His attorney has also moved to dismiss the case if the judge rules that the evidence and statements were improperly obtained. The statements are very damaging to the defense, since LaVallee Davidson admitted to police that he pointed the gun at Wilson's head and pulled the trigger.

If the evidence is thrown out, and the case is dismissed, the public will never know what really happened that night in the basement of the House on Henry Street.
