THE INCARNATION

John 1:1-14

A father put his four-year-old son to bed. Having finished prayers, stories, and all the little bedtime things, he kissed his son and turned the light off.  His son started sobbing, "Don’t leave me. I’m scared and don’t want to stay here alone."  The father tried to encourage the little boy by reminding him of God’s presence and reminding him that they had had devotions. The little boy said, "I want somebody with skin on."  This is the great message of the Incarnation! Jesus came in flesh!

Fight the Good Fight!

It is a well-known fact that Satan will do everything in his power to tear down the walls of spiritual protection around those who are unaware of his devices.  All serious parents are concerned about what the future holds for their children. We must stand up and fight!

Global Warming Hypocrisy

In one of Chuck Colson's recent Breakpoint radio shows he entitled his remarks Gone With The Wind Farm which so vividly exposed the stark hypocrisy of liberals who seem to get more wierd by the day.

Bates College

I recently attended a wedding at Bates Chapel in Lewiston. On the way out of the chapel my eyes were drawn to a plaque on the wall that read; "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE WORSHIP OF HIS SON, THIS BUILDING IS FOREVER DEDICATED ... ERECTED 1912, THE GIFT OF MRS. D. WILLIS JAMES."

Bates College has a rich history of Christianity in its origin. As with many New England institutions, religion played a vital role in the College's founding. The Reverend Oren Burbank Cheney founded and served as the first president of Bates. He was a Freewill Baptist minister, a teacher, and a former Maine legislator. Cheney steered a bill through the Maine Legislature creating a corporation for educational purposes. Initially called the Maine State Seminary, it was located in Lewiston which was Maine's fastest-growing industrial and commercial center.

Let's be honest
Dallas E. Henry
The homosexual rights movement in the United States and more specifically here in Maine constantly tells us that all they want is equality in society and that Christian attempts to stop laws that favor homosexuals is nothing but hatred and bigotry.

The pro homosexual advocacy group here in Maine recently changed their name from the "Gay and Lesbian Political Alliance of Maine" to a much nicer sounding name; "Equality Maine". Let's be honest, any organization can change their name to one that is more acceptable but it doesn't change what they do. The League has been warning the good people of Maine for three decades that this diabolical movement is out to destroy marriage and the family. The liberal media has called the League all kinds of names and more specifically, they have vilified Michael Heath.
